Workflow automation
Turn repeatable tasks into dependable workflows—from reporting and document processing to data handling and internal operations.
INDEPENDENT ENGINEERING STUDIO SCX / 001
We engineer practical automation and connected software that helps businesses move with less friction—and gives good ideas room to grow.
THE IDEA IS SIMPLE
Good technology shouldn't add another layer of work. It should remove the friction between where your business is and where it could be.
01 / CAPABILITIES
Focused technical work for the messy, repetitive, and disconnected parts of running a business.
Turn repeatable tasks into dependable workflows—from reporting and document processing to data handling and internal operations.
Build the logic behind a useful product: focused backend services, API endpoints, internal tools, and data flows designed around real needs.
Help existing tools exchange information cleanly, reduce duplicate work, and make the overall process easier to understand and maintain.
↳ The right solution might be a small script, a connected workflow, or a more complete system. We start with what the problem actually needs.
DESIGNED BEYOND THE DEMO
The best technical work is not just impressive on day one. It should be understandable, maintainable, and useful in the real conditions people work in.
Clear flows, sensible boundaries, and documentation that helps people understand what happens and why.
Consider the edge cases, failure paths, and handoffs—not only the happy-path demo.
Start with the smallest useful solution while keeping future changes possible and proportionate.
02 / WORK IN PROGRESS
A practical automation concept showing how raw business data can become a cleaner, more useful output.
A small invoice-processing demonstration: take structured sales data, calculate totals, and produce a consistent summary without repeating the same manual steps.
Illustrative demonstration, not a claim of a deployed client project.
01# read incoming sales data
02load("sales_data.csv")
03# calculate invoice totals
04process(records)
05# create a clear summary
06export("invoice_summary")
BUILD NOTES / TECHNICAL PORTFOLIO
Each project focuses on a practical engineering problem. The visuals are reserved for real workflow and test screenshots; the descriptions below explain what each demonstration does and what the evidence should show.
Accepts a lead submission through a webhook, checks the required input, then routes the request down a valid or invalid path. The response makes it clear whether the submitted data was accepted instead of treating every request as successful.
Inspect workflow files
A small Python client sends an HTTP request, applies a timeout, checks the response, and validates the fields the application depends on. The tests exercise expected behavior and failure handling so a remote API problem does not silently become bad data.
Inspect API project
A focused validation test kit checks both acceptable and problematic lead data, including malformed email addresses, missing names, and invalid budget values. It helps make the expected rules explicit and catches regressions when the validation logic changes.
Inspect QA project03 / APPROACH
We keep the process close to the problem. No unnecessary complexity, no automation for its own sake.
Understand how the work happens today, where it breaks down, and what a meaningful improvement looks like.
Choose a proportionate technical approach and define what the first useful version needs to do.
Implement the workflow or software, test it against real requirements, and refine the rough edges.
Document how it works, identify operational risks, and make the next iteration easier to deliver.
04 / THE STUDIO
INDEPENDENT THINKING.
CONNECTED SYSTEMS.
ScyrolynX is an independent engineering studio focused on practical automation, backend software, and connected systems. We work from the operational problem outward—building useful tools now while keeping an eye on how the system may need to evolve.
Based in Africa and open to working across borders, we believe good engineering is less about spectacle and more about making things work clearly, consistently, and well.
05 / GOOD QUESTIONS
A few practical notes on what working together can look like.
Ask something elseRepetitive manual tasks, disconnected tools, data-processing workflows, internal software needs, and focused backend or API work. The first step is understanding the problem before choosing the technology.
No. A clear description of the process, what is frustrating about it, and what a better outcome would look like is a useful starting point. We can work out the technical shape from there.
Potentially, yes. Existing tools, data formats, APIs, and constraints are part of the discovery process. The right approach depends on access, complexity, and the outcome you need.
ScyrolynX is based in Africa and is open to working with clients across borders. Project fit, communication, scope, and timelines are discussed up front.
Tell us what you are trying to do, how the process works today, what is going wrong or taking too long, and any deadline or existing tools we should know about. You do not need to have the solution figured out.
HAVE A PROCESS THAT COULD WORK BETTER?
Tell us what is taking too much time, creating unnecessary manual work, or keeping your tools disconnected. We'll start with the problem.
Start a conversation No big pitch. Just a clear conversation about the problem.
